The day retreat in Whitstable was just what I needed to refocus on my memoir projects. Marnie creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere - like you are catching up with an old friend! The day gave me some focused writing time, 121 time with Marnie and the chance to meet some fabulous other memoirists that I will stay in contact with beyond the day retreat.

The Whitstable Retreat was exactly what I needed to kickstart my writing journey. With gentle guidance following a consultation with Marnie I was able to find the perfect format for my story and write freely for the day. Beautiful location. Great group of inspirational attendees. Come and join me in beautiful Whitstable, Kent, on Saturday, June 14th for a day of memoir writing. (Just over an hour from London St Pancras)
We'll meet at 10am at our Horsebridge Arts and Community Centre, a stone's throw from the beach. We'll say hello to each other, share a little of what we're writing for those that wish to, and get ready to write until 1pm.
Bring your notebook and pen or laptop. Writing prompts will be given if needed.
Lunch is 1pm to 2.30, to give you an opportunity to eat and then walk on the beach if you'd like to. We'll write again from 2.30 to 4.30pm and say our goodbyes, sharing how our day has been - again, this is optional, by 5pm.
Whitstable's cafes can get pretty busy at lunchtime, so you can either bring lunch or I'll take your order in advance for a fabulous sandwich/lunch/cake from Tea and Times.
There are ten places available and the cost, £70, includes a 20-minute one-to-one with me during the day.
